Im thrilled to offer for sale this STUNNING example of Electric Ladyland by the legendary Jimi Hendrix! UK 1968 🩶white Ghost Text🩶 1st pressing in EXCELLENT condition with NM vinyls!
VERY EARLY 1st press A//1, A//1, B//1, B//1 matrixes, with the usual partially corected matrix lines, as present on all 1st pressings.
Has the controversial album cover featuring naked women that was quickly banned. Even more rare as this item has the sought after black and white "Track Record" label not the later orange Polydor one!
Background...
Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the final studio album released before Hendrix's death in 1970. A double album, it was the only record from the Experience produced by Hendrix. The band's most commercially successful release and its only number one album, it was released by Reprise Records in the United States on October 16, 1968, and by Track Records in the UK nine days later. By mid-November, it had reached number one on the U.S. charts, spending two weeks there. In the UK it peaked at number six, where it spent 12 weeks on the chart.
Both vinyl discs are absolutely stunning! They have retained a glorious glossy sheen in appearance and sit flat to the surface. The labels and spindle holes are fabulous! Sides A, B & C are NEAR MINT with nothing detectable to the naked eye and side D is EXCELLENT, with some exceptionally light insignificant no feel surface lines/marks. It really is one the best I have ever come across!! Light spindle trails can be seen at an angle. STUNNING!
The outer gatefold cover has the rare and much sought after WHITE TEXT. It is beautiful and glossy with no splits of tears. Minor age wear/imperfections/ film crinkles as to be expected, but in very nice condition.
Includes x2 patent protective inners which are fabulous with no splits or tears only minor age related imperfections.
OVERALL A MUST HAVE AND RARE PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION.
