About Rainbow Bridge:
Rainbow Bridge is the second posthumous Jimi Hendrix release. It was produced by Hendrix's former engineer Eddie Kramer and drummer Mitch Mitchell, the same team that produced Hendrix' first postumous album, The Cry of Love. They dig deeper into the Hendrix catalogue of unreleased material this time, and come up with some gems. These date back to 1968's "Look Over Yonder," and includes a new version of the "Star Spangled Banner," which won Hendrix quite a reputation at Woodstock in 1969, the thundering guitar assault of "Dolly Dagger, as well as other tracks recorded for what was supposed to be Hendrix's next album, First Rays of the New Rising Sun. With only six new studio tracks available, Mitchell and Kramer add a live version of "Hear My Train a Comin" from a concert in Berkeley, California on May 30, 1970.
