Very Very Rare EX/EX+ Original 1967 UK Track Record Mono A1//B1 Matrix 1st Press 'Axis: Bold As Love' by Jimi Hendrix!!!!
You are bidding on a very rare UK Mono 1st Pressing of the legendary 'Axis Bold As Love' by Jimi Hendrix!!!!! This is the earliest 1st EVER Pressing with the important A1//B1 Matrix and is recorded in Mono!!!!! IT IS A LEGENDARY LP THAT TURNS UP VERY RARELY IF EVER AND NEVER IN THIS CONDITION!!!! It is the GENUINE 1967 UK 1ST PRESS. This is a really amazing record so due to the demand and price it will probably fetch, I am going to describe it a meticulously as possible so you all know EXACTLY what you are getting for your money! The classic Track centre labels have no unwanted scribbles, rips or tears. The vinyl looks great with just the occasional light surface line here and there. It grades as VG at the very least!!! The Gorgeous David King & Roger Law designed - ORIGINAL E.J. DAY FLIPBACK GATEFOLD SLEEVE also looks great. The flip-backs are tight with NO unsticking, NO folding back, NO peeling and only the occasional very fine hairline creases in the flipback laminate (I am being very fussy here-but like I said I want to give as honest a description as possible). The famous psychedelic E.J. Day Gatefold outer still has ALL ITS ORIGINAL GLOSSY LAMINATED FEEL with just a few laminate creases around the edges. Most of us have seen pictures and images of this legendary sleeve but I CANNOT STRESS HOW AMAZINGLY COOL LOOKING THIS SLEEVE IS WHEN YOU ACTUALLY GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL TO ONE IN THIS CONDITION!!!! With cool vintage laminate and the infamous psychedelic picture - IT IS AWESOME!!! The sleeve has NO unwanted writing or scribbles and NO Seam Splitting!!!! There are NO major creases and lies perfectly FLAT with NO RING WEAR. But it does have some moderate edge & corner wear and some fairly heavy feathering of the opening edge which is reflected in the grading of VG+ I have given it. It has the Important 612003 Mono/Stereo text in the bottom right flip-back.
THIS RECORD IS RIGHTLY KNOWN AS ONE OF THE BEST PSYCHEDELIC ROCK ALBUMS EVER MADE, IF NOT THE BEST!!!! AND AN A1//B1 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING IS A VERY SERIOUS INVESTMENT FOR THE FUTURE, DON'T MISS OUT!
