FIRSTLY: I ALWAYS, ALWAYS LISTEN TO AND AUDIO GRADE EVERY ALBUM/SINGLE/EP. Visual gradings are ok, but can be very misleading in my experience! I've had mint-looking vinyl sound like a dog! And, reasonably scratched vinyl sound great! So it's got to be listened to to give an honest and accurate appraisal. And that's what you always get from me.

Also, I list every item with LOADS of pictures detailing everything about this item. I hide nothing in my listings and point out all visible/audible flaws (if any!), as well as the good bits! That way you can rest assured you get exactly what is described. Every vinyl is thoroughly cleaned and listened to from start to finish, right the way through! So there's no unexpected disappointments when you receive your vinyl.


OUTER SLEEVE:
Excellent condition throughout, very light wear overall. Evidence of a sticker removal top right hand corner which has been 'repaired/restored/reouched' - not by me! However, it's been done quite well so on first inspection is not that noticeable. Other than that, the sleeve is a superb example. These 1st press UK non-laminated sleeves are notoriously susceptible to wear and damage. Thankfully, no graffiti or any other damage on this sleeve.

LABELS:
Superb condition, no writing or damage, just a few spindle traces visible. Complete with the correct VERTIGO swirl label layout for a UK 1st press - VERTIGO below the spindle and the larger swirl logo above. Also, the date is above the 33 1/3 and not below as on later 1971 Vertigo releases.

MATRIX:
CORRECT UK PRESSING STAMPED MATRICES:
636 0010 1Y2 (several crossings out)  420 1  1  3  (420 denotes a UK issue)
636 0010 2Y   X   2  1  2   (420 is missing, not sure if the X was an error or to cross something out...looks like they were half asleep at the pressing plant when they did this one!)

VINYL:
Looks well played, with quite a few light surface scratches, so not a mint copy unfortunately. However, thanks to the heavyweight vinyl used at the time it plays better than it looks.

AUDIO:
A fair bit of light crackle and a few light clicks, but overall not too bad. No jumps or sticks. A respectable playing copy that's worth hanging on to until a better one comes along.

SUMMARY:
A fairly rare album and worth having even in this condition, not a Cressida or Affinity but a good album none the less. Sleeve would rate at EX and vinyl at G+ to VG in some places.
