for the tiny Southern label,
ACE RECORDS !!
He managed several Top 10 national hits
and even appeared in several teen movies.
NEIL SEDAKA
WROTE
"VENUS IN BLUE JEANS"
which peaked @ No. 7 on the charts
and it appeared that the hits
would keep on comin'.
However, that was the last hit Jimmy would have.
This 1963 single should have been huge
but failed to even graze the charts.
However, it's been rediscovered by the
POPCORN COLLECTORS
and is now a hot item !!!

who would have to wait another 2-3 years
before he would become a hitmaker.

VERY GOOD- CONDITION !!
Lots of surface marks; no deep scratches.
Noise @ beginning & end of A-side
but rest of side plays with great fidelity.
No distortion from a bad stylus.
Surface marks abound
but do not produce clicks or sustained noise.
Both labels show storage wear.
B-side has a thick black "X" @ 8 o'clock
& a thin "X" in blue ballpoint ink @ 4 o'clock.
B-side label has "Slow Rocker" written
in blue ballpoint pen @ 10 o'clock.
Comes with a generic blue sleeve.
