Description

This is an Extremely Rare 1933 Uncoated Aluminum Radio Show Transcription Disc featuring an excerpt of the "Hollywood On The Air" radio program of September 30, 1933 starring Bing Crosby

Approximately 7 minutes on this 12 inch, 78 rpm, uncoated aluminum disc.  This disc was recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public

This is an extremely rare, most likely one of a kind disc

"Hollywood On The Air" from September 30, 1933 starring Bing Crosby with The Pickens Sisters and Jimmy Fidler.  

This disc contains parts 5 & 7 of the program

Part 5 begins with Bing Crosby being interviewed by Jimmy Fidler.  Bing states that he is working on a new movie "Going Hollywood".  Bing also states that he and his friend, actor Richard "Dick" Arlen and he are having their babies Christened in the morning.  Bing sings "Thanks".  Song is complete with introduction and applause at end.

Part 7 features The Pickens Sisters singing "Lying In The Hay" and Hollywood gossip by Jimmy Fidler.  The disc includes the programs closing announcements by Jimmy Fidler.

Disc is in good to very good condition with good to very good sound, typical sound for uncoated aluminum
