This is a companion album to the first volume ("Jimmy Reed sings Best in Blues" – please see our other auctions for the still sealed copy of this title). However, unlike the first volume on which Jimmy Reed covers some of the greatest blues hits by other artists including bluesmen, this one is Jimmy's own "greatest hits" collection and includes greatest hits he himself recorded prior to 1963.. Track listing: Roll & Rhumba - Baby, what's wrong - Mary, Mary - Shame,shame,shame - Outskirts of town - Oh,John - Too Much - Down in Mississippi - My first plea - Odds & ends - Caress me baby  . Finding a still sealed original STEREO copy?!?! Forget it – not even a HOPE!!! This may be the last one you will ever see.

(b)            The record is  apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(c)           The record is believed to come in its original stock inner sleeve.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·                               THE COVER

COVER IS NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP    (A SMALL PIECE OF SHRINK WRAP IS MISSING)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has two corners slightly dinged (nothing significant)

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2 .

-         Back cover has a few yellowish dust speckles scattered here and there (these tiny spots are not overly obtrusive or distracting)

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on back side, apparently from aging  (nothing significant).
