JIMMY SMITH “Midnight Special” FIRST PRESSING Blue Note 4078 Mono Vinyl
This is the first edition, “RVG stamped, P pressing of JIMMY SMITH’s “Midnight Special” on the "New York” labels of Blue Note BLP 4078.
VINYL has many feelable hairline scratches, good gloss. Plays with consistent light to medium loud surface noise, pops or ticks. But that Famous Blue Note pressing power and dynamics comes through (Not fact, my opinion). No Skips. No distortion. The “New York” labels are clean with spindle wear and ink writing. See photos.
Laminated jacket is in good shape, corners worn. Spine and seams clean. Back jacket shows normal aging. See photos.
