Joani Taylor With The Dave Robbins Orchestra And The Numerality Singers-Joani, CBC Radio Canada Transcription, LM-45, 1968.

Extremely rare Canadian/broadcast-only (promo) vocal jazz/sunshine pop/Latin LP created exclusively for CBC radio play (never sold in stores). This album measures up w/ Judy Singh, Sheila Graham, Montage CBC releases, but even lesser known. Features songs by The Beatles (“With A Little Help (From My Friends),” a personal highlight), Jimmy Webb (a KILLER jazz-infused “Paper Cup”), Burt Bacharach, Bricusse/Newley (monster take of “Feelin’ Good”), Jobim, Kenny Rankin (“In The Name Of Love”), Crew/Gaudio, and more. People are sleeping on this one. Catch a copy while you can. These rarely surface. Ultimate recommendation.
