JOE CASTRO – GROOVE FUNK SOUL – ATLANTIC 1324 – MONO - BLACK – EX/VG+
This Atlantic session was recorded in Los Angeles on July 18, 1959 and features Joe Castro on piano, Teddy Edwards on tenor, Leroy Vinnegar on bass and Billy Higgins on drums. SIDE 1: GROOVE FUNK SOUL, YESTERDAYS; and DAY DREAM. SIDE 2: IT COULDN’T HAPPEN TO YOU, PLAY ME THE BLUES and THAT’S ALL. The record has the black Atlantic label. This is a MONO recording.
I’ve graded the vinyl as EX as there are no marks on the vinyl, except one very small one on SIDE 1 CUT 2, which does not interfere with play. There are some marks around the spindle hole on both sides of the record. I gave an VG+ grade to the cover as there is some sticker damage on the upper right corner of the cover and some wear on the lower left section of the spine.
