THE JOE HARRIOTT DOUBLE QUINTET – INDO-JAZZ SUITE – Columbia SCXO 6025.
An original Australian pressing of this very scarce LP released in 1966.
Joe Harriott was a Jamaican born sax player based in Britain. He was a pioneer of Jazz fusion.
On this LP he teams up with the Indian born composer/musician, John Mayer who mixed jazz with Indian music. He composed the music on this LP.

The record is in VG+(+) condition. There is a small scratch at the start of side one that causes a light click during the first few revolutions of the record. It’s there but not too annoying. There are five or six other small light marks that don’t affect playing. Apart from the already mentioned start to side 1 the LP plays EX. I’ve played it.
The labels are very clean. The cover is VG+. Some storage/ring wear and a few spots of edge wear. A small sticker on the front and one on the back.
A very tidy copy of a hard to find LP.
