A rare opportunity to bid for this limited, UNPLAYED, album by Joe Meek & The Blue Men!

Bought new at the time of release, it has just been carefully stored, ever since!

Sleeve: Thick card with a stunning front cover showing a pink, stylised image of the Moon! Against

the pink background, top-left, a yellow circle (which looks orange against the pink background) overlaps

a white circle to produce a yellow 'lozenge'. A black band across the top of the sleeve has the album title

in white text, top-right. Bottom-right is a black-and-white image of Joe Meek's face, with the following text

just to the left of it:

'composed and devised by Joe Meek

featuring the BLUE MEN

directed by Rod Freeman'

The back cover has a pink band across the top, reproducing the two circles image and album title from the

front cover. Track listing is in black capitals, centre-left, with a similar monochrome image of Joe Meek, bottom-

left, but this one has his name in white text across the eyes/glasses. the RPM Vinyl logo is just to the right, with

the barcode (8 013252 671036), bottom-right. Centre-right there is a panel which contains the following text:

'A Stereo Fantasy, Composed & Devise by Joe Meek

The Blue Men directed by Rod Freeman

Yes! This is a strange record, I meant it to be. I wanted

to create a picture in music of what could be up there in

outer space.

I can already see and hear in my imagination, from the

studies I have made on outer space what wonderful new

sights and sounds are in store for us.

I must admit that most of my ideas on this record were

to please myself, at the same time hoping it will please you,

after all you buy records for entertainment not often for

education. This I hope you will find entertaining and

different.

There is another reason for making this record, that is to

show off stereo, and as you will hear on this record things

actually move, and makes it ideal for demonstrating the

abilities of stereo equipment.

At first I was going to make a record with music that was

completely out of this world, but realised that it would have

very little entertainment value, so I kept the construction of

the music down to earth  and wrote tunes that I hope you will

grow to like.

Joe Meek'

The sleeve is in great condition, still in the original factory shrink wrap (open only to allow access

to the disc), and free from bumps, tears, stickers or notations! Apart from a 20mm hole in the film

on the front and subsequent very fine, thin, barely visible, mark/nick in the surface (only) below,

which was present at the time of purchase, it is superb! Mentioned for accuracy and does not affect

the sleeve's image or look!

Inner Sleeve: Opaque, partly die-cut, plastic which is intact and unmarked!

Vinyl: Clean, shiny, unmarked and UNPLAYED!

This is just one item from my own extensive and eclectic personal collection of music and related bits and pieces which I will be listing over the next few months, or so.
