Description
For auction is the JOE NEWMAN OCTET's "I'm Still Swinging" on RCA LMP-1198 MONO, 1956. This record has Deep Grooves both sides. It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides complete. The sound is very nice with soft ticks and crackles here and there, but if you're not a perfectionist, it's completely acceptable.
Visually, the vinyl is VG+, with no flaws worth mentioning.
The sleeve is VG+ with no flaws of note other than a little staining/yellowing, and the beginning of a split on the bottom seam. Solid corners all around. The cover illustration is by ANDY WARHOL. The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. A nice record, in good condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $15.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
