- M- (mint minus) record appears to have been never played or handled. Covers will look equally similar
- NM (near mint) record looks seldom used and bears little to no signs of wear; possibly a couple visual imperfections; very very light marks, sleeve scuffs. Should not affect play. Covers will look equally similar
- VG+ (very good plus) record was very well taken care of, few of the slightest marks/wear/non feel-able scratches. No dulling, 90% or more of original gloss. Should play near perfect. Covers may show light wear; mild creases, corner bumps, ring wear
- VG (very good) This is the condition many older, used, but not abused records are found in. This record may show a greater number of marks, scuffs, scratches; It should still be a very enjoyable listen. Covers show more advanced (less mild) wear; possibly small seam splits, markings, etc
- VG- (very good minus) at least one mark that can be felt with a fingernail. Covers will have more advanced wear; pictures should reveal the condition
- G (good) This record is heavily worn, but still playable (unless otherwise noted) If selling a record in this condition I will often add an mp3 file for your consideration.
