JOHN AND BEVERLEY MARTYN “Stormbringer!” Original UK Pink Island Folk Psych lp!
1970/UK/Island Records ILPS 9113…..here’s a nice original UK pressing of this rare and excellent lp. The cover is in solid condition with moderate corner and bottom seam wear, campus records sticker, sticker tear top right, punch hole there too but just in the front cover, warehouse rubber stamp and light shelf wear, there are no splits. The vinyl is in Excellent condition with very few super light hairlines. The record plays clean with occasional noise mainly between tracks and a couple of quiet moments. The record plays with nice clean fidelity. The labels are clean with only a couple of very light small spindle marks. Grab this rare lp! For Stormbringer!, John and Beverley Martyn went to Woodstock, NY, and recorded with several local musicians, including session hands Paul Harris and Harvey Brooks, as well as the Band's Levon Helm. Very much in the mold of the electric Fairport Convention of this period, Stormbringer! sizzles with acoustic interplay and an almost jazzy feel. Highlights include "Woodstock" (not the Joni Mitchell tune) and the title track.

GRADING
MINT: I consider only New Unplayed or Sealed items.
M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have a few minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
