Description

The Ravens  (with John Belushi on drums)

"Listen To Me Now" / "Jolly Green Giant"

Alona's Dream Records ADR-7-001, released in 2011 (re-issue)  (Limited Edition)

(original recordings made in 1965)

Vinyl is new old stock, un-played.  Graded Near Mint with a couple of light paper scuffs.

Removed from original packing only for photo purposes.  Have not played this record.

The Ravens were formed in 1965.  They were a group of five students at Wheaton Central High School in Wheaton, Illinois.  The drummer was John Belushi, later of Saturday Night Live/The Blues Brothers fame.

The group reportedly pooled their money and recorded these two songs in Chicago and pressed about 40 copies which were distributed to friends and families.   The original master tapes were erased long ago.  In 2011, Alona's Dream Records pressed a limited edition of 200 copies from one of the original records.  The record you are bidding on is numbered "39/200" on the back of the cardboard insert.
