Description
This is a gently used 12" vinyl LP with the original PS (picture sleeve jacket) by JOHN CALE titled HELEN OF TROY. This is the original FIRST PRESSING from 1978 on Island Records, made & printed in England. It's #ILPS 9350 Stereo. The original black inner sleeve with a pic of John Cale is also included. See the pics for further details. The vinyl is VG+ or slightly better. It's very clean & shiny and still has the magnetic pull to it when pulling it out of the inner paper sleeve. Like all vinyl, there may or may not be some surface noise when playing. By the looks of the vinyl under a strong light, it looks rarely used & practically untouched. I see a hint of a light scratch. I don't have the equipment to play test the record so this is graded under a strong light. I suggest to PLAY IT LOUD! If you're a serious collector with a record cleaning machine or good cloths & proper record wash, that always helps. The labels are very clean. NO spindle marks on them. The inner sleeve is in very good condition (NO seam splits). The cardboard jacket is in VG or better condition with minor dings, marks, chips, etc., around it from handling. Light ringwear is evident, otherwise NO split seams. There's light foxing or yellowing to the white area of the jacket paper. As of this writing, this record is appx 47 years old. I'm very cautious when grading & very critical about it. I may overstate some of the conditions but better safe than sorry! THIS ITEM IS SOLD AS IS. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
