Description
Up for auction:
Artist: John Coltrane Title: Blue Train
Record Description: Deep groove NY USA Blue Note labels. RVG, ear and 9M in dead wax.
Visual Grade: G+. Pretty rough looking copy with lots of markings and scuffs to each side. No skips and I didn't notice any jumps during my play test. Side A Play Grade: A1 - G+; A2 - G+ Side B Play Grade: B1 - G+; B2 - G+; B3 - G+/VG
Cover: G+. Not too bad honestly. Front and back look fine. Name written on back. Bottom edge is solid, but for a small 1" split at opening. Top edge split a few inches at the opening. Spine is very worn and has a pretty big split in the middle.
Some extra information about my auctions:
Grading Notes: I try my very best to grade accurately and conservatively. Everything listed here has been given a full and recent play test. I also put a visual grade on the record. A lot of times with these older jazz records, I find that the visual and play grades don't necessarily match. I'm trying to prepare you for what you are going to see and then hear. I listen to mono records in mono and stereo records in stereo. I've gone ahead and graded each song individually. Sometimes I'll straddle grades for songs, for example VG+/EX or VG+/VG. That's just me being conservative or acknowledging that the lower grade could be possible. I'll stick to just the grades unless I think something needs to be noted.
M: Don't really believe in this grade. NM: EX: Could have a few seconds of light noise or a tic, but should play pretty much perfectly. VG+: Some light noise consecutively or in a couple spots, but should never get in the way of enjoyment of the music. VG: Might have some repeating tics or a longer duration of noise than a VG, but absolutely enjoyable still. G+: Heavier noise and/or crackling through all or most of the song. Could have a repeating skip or jump in the music, but that will be noted in the description. G: Crackle and popcorn throughout and probably not much to enjoy. Will likely have a skip or skips.
The majority of the LPs listed have been VPI cleaned, though not some recent ones as I don't have a VPI anymore. All LPs have been put into new inner sleeves and the factory inner sleeve will be included if it's in decent shape (will be pictured but not graded).
Cover Grading: I'll always put a grade on the cover, but I think your eyes are the best judge for the front/back. I'll tell you about any wear or splits to the top/bottom edge. I'll describe wear to the spine and if it is legible.
Shipping: All items are carefully packed and shipped via USPS Media Mail. Each LP is $5 and $1 extra for multiple wins. If you'd like to upgrade to Priority or would like to add insurance, please let me know before you pay and I can make the adjustment. I'm pretty quick to get packages out, most likely within 24 hours of payment.
International shipping is done via USPS and is $28. Each additional is $4. If you win more than two LPs, I'd like to discuss the best and cheapest way to get you your records after the auctions. I've found that costs vary so much and are hard to predict country to country and a case by case basis for larger orders is the best method.
Other: Any record listed in G+ or worse condition are sold As Is. International orders are sold As Is. I will not do partial refunds. Returns within the USA are accepted.
