Description
This auction is for the TWELVE LP ATLANTIC JAZZ GALLERY / RHINO RECORDS rare box set entitled " JOHN COLTRANE. THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. THE COMPLETE ATLANTIC RECORDINGS ". This wonderful box set is in gorgeous condition. The LP's and matching pictorial LP sleeves appear to have been unused. The thick pictorial cardboard slipcase has some light wear to the corners with a short but repairable splt to the top of the rear joint and is otherwise in very good condition.
This recording was published by ATLANTIC JAZZ GALLERY / RHINO RECORDS RI 71984. A gorgeous example of a great box set. This set is very sought after and is RARE!!!!! and represents possibly John Coltrane's most fruitful and important playing in addition to being some of the most important music in the history of jazz.
