Description
Up for auction is a rare 1962 copy of "Live At The Village Vanguard" on the Impulse label. This original first pressing has the RVG on the dead wax. the NM- cover is beautiful portraying a glossy and clean appearance on both sides. The inside of the gate fold cover is immaculate, with no physical defects in appearance. Its overall appearance is outstanding for a 56 year old LP. The label represents itself just as nice as the cover does with a NM- grade. It is clean displaying virtually no wear or markings with vibrant colors through out. The vinyl also exhibits a deep shiny gloss surface with some light hairlines and scuffs showing up when examined closely next to a bright lamp. I would grade the vinyl VG++. Also included is the original "prestige records" inner sleeve in nice overall condition. To find a top copy of Coltrane's early LP's is extremely difficult. Especially in this condition. This LP should be contemplated seriously for the avid jazz collector where content, condition, and rarity is a consideration.
