Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1962 first pressing of Coltrane’s unbelievable Live at the Village Vanguard LP on Impulse stereo A-10. This is the trie first pressing with “A Product of Am-Par Record Corp.” on the back, and “A-10-S” on the labels. Van Gelder stamps in the runoffs. This copy is simply stunning. The disc is very nearly mint and plays just about flawlessly and breathtakingly. There are a couple of very light superficial scuffs, maybe, but they don’t affect the play at all. Barely anything. There is a very tiny blemish in the center of side two which makes a very faint tick a couple of times but you have to be listening carefully to even notice it. Really this copy is unbelievable and sounds perfect. The cover has light shelfwear, with the two lower corners somewhat rubbed and a very small bit of the lamination peeling at the lower right. Also there is a bit of fraying in the center of the spine. Some overall signs of age but really overall this is a beautiful cover. I think this to be one of the best copies of this album I have ever seen. Really a top copy.
