Description

Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept a free return if it doesn't match the listing description.

This one is the first original mono and deep-grooved pressing of Prestige Records LP-7213 "SETTIN' THE PACE" by John Coltrane.  This one is an original issue from Prestige Records, not a reissue version by OJC or Classic Records.  Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1958 and released in 1961, with "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides.  Deep Groove on both labels.  Labels address: PRESTIGE RECORDS INC., 203 SOUTH WASHINGTON AVE., BERGENFIELD, N.J.  Very rare in this condition.

Artists Include: John Coltrane (tenor saxophone), Red Garland (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), Art Taylor (drums).

The vinyl played NM (almost MINT) on both sides. Music is very nice. It looks NM under the bright light too.

The cover is VG+.  Strong, but crack in the middle of its spine (see photo). And small paper losses on the spine's corner.

The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.

My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-.

You will be satisfied.  And I will accept a free return.  Please bid with confidence.
