Description
This is a very rare original excellent stereo copy of legendary Jazz LP by John Coltrane, A Love Supreme, released in 1964 by Impulse Records. Also included is the original inner sleeve which has splits that were tape repaired
As to grading, I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG ++, I prefer to use grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some.
The LP is in very clean excellent condition with just a very few barely visible and inaudible scuffs, The LP was play graded and plays very quietly. The last name of engineer Rudy Van Gelder is machine stamped in the dead wax. The gatefold cover is very good plus condition. The front gate top and bottom corners show minor wear as do corners at spine, while the two corners at the back of gate are very sharp. The top seam and bottom seams are strong as is the spine with no splits and the product information on the spine clearly readable. There is a slight ding on the top front of the cover over S in Supreme. The front and back cover is very clean with clean sharp images.
The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold is returned and in the same condition received. Buyers that behave in a less than ethical or unreasonable manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions.
