These are the liner notes from the front bottom of the jacket: Now that Hurts So Good and Jack and Diane have brought John Cougar's performing/writing talents to the fore, we thought we'd call attention to some past gems and radio favorites from John's first two Riva/Polygram albums--as well as two more tracks from his platinum-plus American Fool album, by conveniently putting them in one collective package. Hand To Hold On To and Thundering Hearts are both stellar, compelling cuts from American Fool; the original I Need A Lover (the AOR favorite, also, of course, penned by Cougar), Small Paradise and A Little Night Dancin' are from his Riva/Polygram debut John Cougar; and Ain't Even Done With The Night is a key track from Nothin' Matters and What If It Did. We hope you'll enjoy the songs and find this a convenient way to share John Cougar's many great songs with your listeners. The vinyl is a strong VG+, clean & shiny, dusty & magnetic. There may be the slightest hint of surface marks/scratches from pulling in & out of the plastic sleeves. The jacket is G+, with ringwear evident front & back. There is a slight crease across the bottom back of the jacket, possibly from being flat instead of standing on a shelf. The upper rear left corner is gold-foil stamped promo.
