Description

John Dummer Band self-titled 1969 UK LP on Mercury 20167 SMCL with the black & silver labels and 1Y / 2Y stampers denoting a first pressing.
The sleeve is fully laminated and the rear photo is meant to be out of focus! No seam splits, writing or sticker tears. Has some corner and mouth edge wear plus ringwear. Also some creasing mainly due to laminate shrinkage over the decades. A small tear bottom right corner which invisible tape will remedy but I'll leave that for the buyer.
So is a solid sleeve with signs of age in which case I rate it 7 out of 10 in respect of its' described condition.
And the polythene-lined inner sleeve is in good clean shape with signs of slight age browning.
Both labels are clean as shown with signs of several plays as witnessed by turntable spindle 'snail' tracking at the centres.
The disc itself is at least of medium weight, flat and shiny. Angling it under the cruel desk lamp I see scuffs and hairlines on the vinyl so grading is around the '7' mark but say 6.5 / 10 for condition or VG in record parlance. Should you disagree then no problem to return of course.
