Description

"The Voice of the Turtle," by John Fahey (1968) with guest artists, on Takoma C-1019 (stereo), a strange and wonderful album with an extensive - and wild - gatefold booklet.

The subtitle of John Fahey's website (check it out!) is "American Primitive Guitar," which is a very good description of this LP. Titles are "Bottleneck Blues," "Bill Cheatum," "Lewisdale Blues," "Bean Vine Blues," "Bean Vine Blues #2, "A Raga Called Pat Part III," "A Raga Called Pat Part IV," "The Little Train That Couldn't," "Je Ne Me Suis Revellais Matin Pas en May," "The Story of Dorothy Gooch Part I," "Nine Pound Hammer," and "Lonesome Valley."

Record and jacket are in excellent condition. LP is shiny and clean with minor clicks, no skips. The jacket has some ring wear and scattered abrasions, no splits (see photos). The gatefold book is complete and unsoiled.

Seller will contact buyer at close of auction. Shipping will be at cost, to be calculated after auction closes (although eBay insists on a different version below) and may be combined with other wins - click on "View seller's other items" above. Insurance at buyer's discretion. Payment by PayPal, personal check, or International (pink) Money Order.
