Description
JOHN FAHEY : The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death LP (Riverboat [USA] RB-1) 196?
Record is VG+ with light sleeve scuffs and one long light scratch on side two, causing some intermittent clicks and pops (no sticks or skips) during B-5 ("Old Southern Medley") and B-6 ("Come Back Baby"). Otherwise it plays pretty nicely with light surface noise only (pretty common with this pressing). Cover is Excellent with minimal wear to three corners. With 30-page booklet (Near Mint).
Original mid-60s pressing of the fourth or fifth John Fahey LP (it was called "Volume 5" when re-issued by Takoma but was actually released before The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party, according to johnfahey.com), issued on the tiny and mysterious Boston label Riverboat (home also to the first Alan Sondheim/All 7-70 LP).
