Description
Takoma Records C-1019 stereo from 1968 with a total of 12 songs in all and the attached booklet. Despite the use of some real old time music in spots (complete with a scratchy 78 kind of sound), this is one of Fahey's oddest one's yet. Duos with flute, organ, sound effects, and even what sound like drunken vocal excursions. Very unique and enjoyable. John Fahey was truly a marvel, rediscovering, performing and recording traditional country blues with a precision and dedication unmatched by any other artist. This is a very interesting project, and highly recommended to those who would prefer their Fahey clothed with a little offbeat style. The gatefold cover is VG+(+) with a dent at the opening. The vinyl is VG++.
