JOHN HARTFORD LP WITH COVER SIGNED TO CURLY FOX BY JOHN HARTFORD
"GUM TREE CANOE"
Flying Fish Records # 289
We got this record from the grandson of a musician who once played with legendary Bluegrass artist CURLY FOX in Graysville, Tennessee. We were told it came from the LP collection of Curly Fox. The signature reads ”For Curly Fox- Your Friendship Is A Treasure- Thanks – Love, John Hartford”. The autograph is assumed to be authentic.
It’s a pretty great album too, with JACK CLEMENT on rhythm guitar and dobro (and producer of the record). It also features SAM BUSH, MARTY STUART, JERRY DOUGLAS, MARK HOWARD, MARK O’CONNOR, ROY M. HUSKEY JR., JEANNIE SEELY, TOMMY HANNUM, RICH SCHULMAN, KENNY MALONE, and BILLY LEE RILEY. This LP was released in 1984.
The cover has only a small amount of light surface wear, however it does have several creases in various places, and one of the creases goes through John’s signature. The record is clean but has had several plays. In addition to some surface marking, it has a few surface scuffs and light scratches.
All LPs come packaged carefully in a sturdy corrugated box made specifically for mailing LPs plus a cardboard insert. The covers are placed in clear plastic record sleeves. The vinyl is removed from the cover (except for SEALED items) for shipping to prevent seam splitting during shipment.
