Description
Here's a great LP by JOHN LEE HOOKER, BORN IN MISSISSIPPI. It's a 1971 US STEREO/QUADROPHONIC pressing ( It's compatible with both) with a TOP RIGHT CORNER BB PROMO HOLE. Cat #abcx-768. In 1960, when the Blues revival started, there were a small handful of already established blues artists. These are the one's who were releasing 7 and 10" records for years prior, and who were able to release long player records before Muddy played Newport Jazz. John Lee Hooker was one. And when the Blues exploded upon popular music in the early 60's JLH was a record making machine. EVERY single release of his is like gold. And people are quick to dismiss the real Blues artists post 1970, that is a bad mistake. This was a time they were moving more electric, more mainstream, and more funky. This is a super cool one. If you don't have it, I highly recommend it.
VINYL--- NEAR MINT plays beautifully... No spindle marks, a full gloss beauty. COVER-- NEAR MINT It's not in shrink, but in fantastic condition. OG INNER is in super nice EX condition with some typical folds. (It's not easy being an inner sleeve..)
