John Lennon - 'Imagine'. PAS 10004.
John Lennon 1971 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Imagine' LP. Released on the 8th October 1971, and offered here in wonderful EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT- condition. These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant. 'Imagine' is often regarded as John's finest solo work and in my humble opinion it is one of the greatest albums ever recorded.
Released on the custom UK Apple picture label with 'Mfd in UK' label text. This comes complete with 1U/1U vinyl, original 1st issue fully laminated cover, postcard sized photograph and large poster both of which are in stunning unused MINT- condition.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: YEX 865-1U RAL (crossed out digit?) 5 PORKY
Side 2: YEX 866-1U ROO 3 PECKO
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT- condition.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. Plain white inner sleeve.
The postcard is in MINT- condition.
The poster is in MINT- condition.
