This Apple label Quadraphonic record is produced using the 'SQ' system which permits the reproduction of quadraphonic sound from four separate channels when an SQ de-coder is used in association with suitable amplifiers and four loud speakers. This SQ record will be reproduced as two channel stereo when played through standard stereo equipment.
Cover: Fully laminated 1st pressing non-gatefold cover with SQ quadraphonic logo on the front. The spine has 'Imagine', 'John Lennon' 'Apple', ‘Q4 PAS 10004'. Some laminate creasing but no writings, doodles or seam splits. Rates as Near Excellent. See photos.
Large fold-out poster: Near Mint.
Photo/lyric inner sleeve: Excellent+. Original double-sided inner sleeve with lyrics/photos on one side and track listing/credits on the other. See photos.
Labels: Near Mint - no writings, doodles or stickers. Some light spindle marks. Apple Records label with an image of John’s face inset into the Apple on side 1. Side 2 has the custom half Apple label. ‘Mfd in UK’ text and the Quadraphonic 'SQ' System logo. See photos.
Vinyl: Play tested. Side 1 looks VG+ with a nice sheen and light feathering. Side 2 has some non-feelable marks and looks VG(-). No skips/jumps on either side. Side 1 plays VG with some static crackle on the run-in and on quieter tracks. Side 2 also plays VG with some light crackle. Not mint but still very listenable. Might be even better with a light clean - not played for 30 years before play-testing.

Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
