Description

A unique, no reserve opportunity to aquire 5 original organ pipes having belonged to John Lennon from Tittenhurst Park Chapel. Removed in 1973 / 74 when Ringo Starr bought Tittenhurst from John Lennon (the second time the house was substantially re-modelled in 3 years).

Lennon recorded Imagine in 1971 at Tittenhurst, and some of Abbey Road was worked on in the chapel which Lennon had converted into his recording studio.Tittenhurst is well documented in the Lennon / Beatles story, for those who dont know just Google Tittenhurst.

I have owned these for about 12 years having aquired them directly from one of the team who was working on the re-fit at that time, their instruction was to skip everything, but he took these home as he felt they were too decorative to skip, not at that time considering their interest to serious Lennon and Beatle collectors. They were stored (sadly not very well) in his garage until my aquisition. 

The condition of the pipes is far from mint. As you can see from the photos they have various Dings and dents and paint has flaked however they are still phenominally decorative (the reason I bought them in the first place, I am not a collector of Lennon or Beatle memorabilia) and would look great in any recording studio, music room or break/chill out area. The tallest stands at 86" and the shortest at 71". As such the buyer will either have to collect or a courier,or parcel company will have to be used.

I must state here that I have no written or photographic proof that these are what I am selling them as although I understand that photos of the chapel do exist apparenly showing these pipes in place (as part of the full set). Serious collectors will, I am sure know where to source such material.

Given the above you will understand that I sell these in good faith being as certain as anybody can that I am not mis-describing them as I have absolutely no reason to doubt their origin or authenticity. If you are in any doubt about their genuiness please do not bid as they are being sold as seen and as per my description including this statement, by bidding you accept this.

The guitars are not included,so don't ask!
