Description

This item is an original, Apple Records pressing of the album Imagine, originally released in 1971.  This is one of my favorite Lennon solo LPs, especially the track How Do You Sleep and its NAAAASTY slide solo by George Harrison.  This song was John’s vitriolic response to what he had perceived was a shot by Paul in his song Too Many People:  “Too many people preaching practices / Don’t let them tell you what you want to be.”  If John was sensitive to the fact that he was in fact being preachy, it seems to me that the criticism – if it was even directed at John, which McCartney has always denied – was valid.  It also includes the original postcard showing John as a satyr.  It also includes the original inner sleeve and poster.  The vinyl has some marks but is overall very nice – the only marks that may be audible are on the first track of side two, Give Me Some Truth.  This pressing would be an excellent addition to any Lennon / Beatles collection.

The vinyl is in VG+ condition.  The cover and inserts are in excellent condition, as shown in the photo.

NOTE TO ALL BUYERS OUTSIDE OF THE US:  Pursuant to Paypal Seller Protection Policy sections 11.3 and 11.4, EVERY item paid for by Paypal MUST be sent via PRIORITY INTERNATIONAL MAIL.  If you do not fully understand and agree, PLEASE DO NOT BID.  The fact that other sellers may send items by First Class International -- and put themselves at risk for claims -- is immaterial.  In addition, the USPS just increased their rates.  To Canada, the cost for 1 single LP is $22.75USD.  To Europe, the cost for 1 single LP is $30.75USD.  Other countries will be about the same as to Europe.  Combining multiple albums saves money, and I can send you the shipping costs upon request BEFORE YOU BID.  I recognize that this results in very high shipping costs, but it is of no benefit to me because the money is paid to the USPS for postage.  If you think this policy is unfair, contact Paypal -- I'm only following their rules.  If you have any questions about my shipping policy or costs, please send me an e-mail via My eBay.

I do not use stock photos.  The photo shows the actual item up for auction.

I am not a dealer, and all of the items I place up for auction are from my personal collection gathered over the past forty years.  I am selling my collection little by little to pay for college expenses for my two kids, in my spare time.

The shipping costs are as follows: $4.00 for one LP via media mail to anywhere in the U.S.   Each additional LP is an additional $0.40 for media mail shipping.  Priority shipping within the U.S. is a function of weight and postal zone, and I will e-mail an invoice indicating the cost of priority (I can also provide this info while the auction is pending, if you e-mail me your zip code and the number of LPs).

Insurance through the USPS is available, and once again my invoice will provide the cost information.

NOTE:  Sealed items are collectible because they are sealed.  Since I do not own a store, I cannot return items to the manufacturer.  Once opened, I cannot refund the purchase price in full because opening significantly affects its value.

NOTE: Media mail does not have tracking.  The USPS offers delivery confirmation with online tracking.  If you want online tracking with delivery confirmation,  ability, you must purchase delivery confirmation for $0.75

International Buyers – Please Note:

·         Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

·         Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

·         These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

·         We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

I will always combine items, so that shipping costs will be more manageable.  Payment may be made by paypal.  If I do not receive payment for an item within fifteen (15) days of the end of the auction and I do not hear from you in response to e-mails, I will consider the auction results void and relist the item(s) for auction.

Should you have any questions at all about postage, the payment method or for details about any item in particular, please do not hesitate to contact me.
