VINYL CONDITION: EX+, glossy, a few light scuffs

SLEEVE CONDITION: NM-, sharp, light wear to corners

LABEL: Adam VIII

NOTES: Tough to find mail order only record, great condition. This has all the markers of being an original, and none of the markers of the fakes. I am convinced that this is one of the original 3000 sent out via mailorder in 1975. If you're reading this you probably know the whole sordid story, but if not definitely worth checking out on Wikipedia.

Here is the criteria for this being an original:
#1 - This copy has "Great" on the spine, not "Greatest." All copies with "Greatest" are fakes.

#2 - This copy is printed on white posterboard. Brown poster board or paste on covers are fakes.

#3 - This copy clearly shows the flesh of John's shoulder. Some fakes cropped this photo.

#4 - This copy has the letters of STEREO in the lower right corner clearly set apart and not running together. 

#5 - This copy has the very tiny print on the Soul Train and Solid Gold Hits albums distinctly, though a bit blurry. Could probably make out the titles with a magnifying glass. All other printing and typeset on the album cover, including Adam VIII Ltd. logo, is nice and sharp.

#6 - This copy of the record weighs 133 grams, definitely within the range of normal vinyl in the 70s (120-140 grams). This copy is not on unusually thick vinyl.

#7 - This copy has a normal sized label.

#8 - Most importantly, the matrix has the hand scratched "A 8018 A" then a machine stamped "Bell Sound" and then a hand scratched "Joe" in cursive. Only originals feature this matrix.
