JOHN AND YOKO WEDDING ALBUM BOX SET
UK 1969 Original Apple SAPCOR 11
Complete with all inserts as detailed below. This artefact has not been cleaned or tampered with for sale and is original and "attic fresh"
RECORD: Record has two marks that effect play, a slight click for three rotations on side one about three-quarters in and a needle mark on side two that produces a gradually building click that then fades again, in total over approximately 20 rotations, and then returning again for a few more rotations before once again fading. At no point does the record stick and the interruption is minimal. Otherwise, the record plays excellent with superb clarity and no distortion or hiss, other than that present in the recording. The record is housed in its original white paper inner.
GATEFOLD SLEEVE: The sleeve has some extremely minor wear at each corner of the spine edge and some light creasing which has resulted in some very small crease areas where the laminate has lifted from the paper of the sleeve on a couple of the edges, but this too is minor wear. There are some just visible age stains, but these are minimal and overall the sleeve can be graded conservatively as VG.
BOX: This has endured some wear conducive to long term storage. The bottom part of the box has one split on the left hand side and some sellotape staining on the inside edges. The top part has some bowing in the centre, a split in the bottom right hand corner and another on the top side, and some old tape staining on the inside. There is some edge wear on the top probably caused by other records being piled on top of it and some scuffs and stains are also evident. However, I have not attempted to clean or repair this box and if originality is not important skilful restoration could improve its condition. On the inside of the box is the wedding certificate.
INSERTS: Postcard, passport photos, wedding cake photograph, "The Press" booklet, foldout "The Wedding" poster, three-way Bed-Peace "Cartoon" poster, and "Bagism" bag. The wedding cake has some creasing, otherwise, apart from some light age/damp staining on the posters, all items are in excellent original condition and are complete.
