Description
LIFETIME i.e. The Tony Williams Lifetime ONE WORD c/w TWO WORLDS 45rpm single. UK only Polydor 2066-050 (1970). MONO. Made in England.
Featuring Tony Williams, John McLaughlin, Jack Bruce, Larry Young.
"One Word", although presented in mono, is more or less the same as the familiar stereo issue.
However, unlike the stereo version of "Two Worlds" found on the "Ego" album, this mono single mix unmistakably features John McLaughlin, whose contribution* to that album appears to have been expunged (post original lineup fall out probably). I believe this version doesn't appear on any of the various Lifetime compilations, on LP or CD. It must therefore be considered RARE. *If any, as not credited on "Ego" and isn't heard on any of its other tracks. However, clearly the singer on both, neither was Jack Bruce (on the original LP release).
I've owned this rarity since purchase second hand some time ago. I hadn't played it in a long while, up until now to check it through for this listing. Carefully looked after, in a smoke-free home.
Disc is in very good overall condition. Has some minor surface scratches and some clicks and pops (that don't detract greatly from this rare listening experience, in my opinion) commensurate with a 50 year old single. Comes in a ubiquitous red Polydor Records paper sleeve which I protect in a soft poly outer.
I'll post it well packaged.
P&P at cost assumes small parcel rate but, if lower, any difference will be refunded.
