JOHN TRAVOLTA HAND SIGNED “OVER HERE” BROADWAY CAST ALBUM!
In 1974, two years before he reached stardom as a “Sweathog” on ABC’s “Welcome Back Kotter” series, Travolta had a featured role in the hit Broadway show, “Over Here!” which featured The Andrews Sisters. The show showcased a number of young actors and actresses who went on to stardom aside from Travolta Including Marilu Henner, Treat Williams, Samuel E. Wright, and Ann Reinking. Travolta had a featured song called “Dream Drummin’” which attracted the attention of many young fans, particularly female ones who waited for him at the stage door to sign their programs. When the Original Cast album came out, the fan from whom we acquired this album asked Travolta to sign it and he was thrilled. He not only signed his named carefully and fully (unlike the hurried scrawls he manifested later in his busy career), but also printed the name of the name of the character, “Misfit,” he played in the musical. He also underlined his name on the back of the album where his name and featured song were listed, This is truly an one of a kind of item from the beginning of fabulous career!
