Description
For auction is the JOHNNIE PATE QUARTET "At The Blue Note," on Stepheny Records MF4005, MONO, DG, 1958.
SOUND: NM-
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The sound here is wonderfully clean and clear! A great live recording! Only the faintest random tic is heard, here and there. Outstanding playback.
VINYL: NM
The vinyl has various smudges, but no scuffs or marks. Looks very nice. The boutique "Stepheny" labels are a sight to behold! Pink and white, with gold and red highlights, and a bust with the head of a woman... well I can only assume she's Stepheny! Anyway, the labels are deep-grooved and in brilliant condition!
JACKET: NM
The edges and spine are solid and straight, in great condition. The corners are excellent! Both the glossy front cover and the back are exceptionally clean and beautifully preserved. Overall a beautiful jacket!

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
