Description

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF MY CURRENT RUN OF LPs - BACK TO 45s TOMORROW!!  If you have been wanting to own an original pressing of the 'holy grail' of rock-n-roll LPs but have not been able to afford one or have been continually outbid, this piece might be your answer - This is a reasonably priced FILLER CONDITION EARLY PRESS COPY of the original 1956 U.S. Coral Records LP from the legendary Johnny Burnette And The Rock 'N Roll Trio, perhaps the most sought-after rock-n-roll LP on the planet!  It is U.S. Coral Records catalog number CRL 57080.   This LP is a GUARANTEED 1956 ORIGINAL, with all of the correct attributes of an original - Cover has the printing on what is left of the the spine and 'Printed In U.S.A.' at the bottom right corner of the front cover; record is a rigid vinylite deep groove pressing, with the deep groove located near the outer perimeter of the labels.  Tracks: Honey Hush, Lonesome Train (On A Lonesome Track), Sweet Love On My Mind, Rock Billy Boogie, Lonesome Tears In My Eyes, All By Myself, The Train Kept A-Rollin', I Just Found Out, Your Baby Blue Eyes, Chains Of Love, I Love You So, Drinking Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee Drinking Wine.   This LP and perhaps a Presley Sun 45 would be just about the only records in the entire hobby I would offer for sale in this kind of condition, which is the textbook definition of 'filler' - This record and the cover are just about totally trashed, any other LP title would be useless in this kind of shape.  Condition of record is poor with about as many scratches as it is possible to fit onto one record, with a number of them being deep - That being said, the record does play better than one would expect given the sorry condition, it plays loud and without scratchiness with some surface noise and probably some skips depending on the tracking weight of your turntable - The record only skipped a very few times on my table with a lightweight tone arm.  Record has no cracks or warps.  A-side label has a small worn spot, both labels have a little wear around the center hole and some contact wear.  I really don't know where to start describing the cover flaws - Condition of cover is also poor - All three seams are totally split, the front and back covers have been taped back together from the inside.  Front cover has white paint splattered on it, a cigarette burn at the top, some spots where the top layer of paper has been scraped off, a couple of spots where there is paper stuck to the surface, and a few small tears.  Cover has some overall contact wear and very little paper left around the edges, although there is more than enough left along the spine to clearly see the spine printing.  I have seen original copies of this LP in condition states not too much better than this offered at record shows and on eBay for $500, so I feel my opening bid price is reasonable given the condition, extreme collectability, rarity, and demand for originals of this LP - I will leave it to the bidders to decide its final value.  An original 1956 pressing of this 'holy grail' LP is next to an impossible find in any condition, this is your opportunity to own an original piece of rock-n-roll history and to fill this very difficult hole in your collection for a reasonable price!  Winning bidder pays $3.50 media mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S. I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - Registered first class international airmail postage to the UK or anyplace in Europe is $26.00.  Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S. WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the LP if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason BESIDES THE POOR CONDITION, WHICH I HAVE CLEARLY STATED. Good luck!
