Description

  • Johnny Cash released his first live album "At Folsom Prison" in May 1968 on Columbia Records. It was recorded on January 13, 1968 during two shows at Folsom State Prison in Northern California and easily hit No. 1 on the country charts. Much to the record label's surprise it also hit No. 13 on the pop charts driven by the Top 40 success of the single "Folsom Prison Blues."

  • This copy of (CS 9639) is from the First Pressing more than 53-years-ago and is in very good condition. The cover is solid with minor edge and ring wear but still grades as VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc with the original red "2-Eye 360 Sound Stereo" labels Test Plays cleanly with just a few ticks and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Customatrix and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Pitman, N.J. The Side One dead wax is stamped o XSM136060-1E P K G.

  • This album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
