Description
This is a vintage 1957 copy of a very important album: Johnny Cash's AND Sun Record Company's first LP!
The 180 gram vinyl is in very good plus (VG+) condition. It has several visible, but inaudible surface scratches. There is some audible static in the left channel during the beginning 30 seconds or so of the side 1, track 1. There is what appears to be a manufacturer's defect "pimple" on side 1, track 6 that is audible for a number of revolutions, but did not cause skipping (at 1.5 grams tracking wt.). Otherwise, there is some light noise and a few quiet pops here and there, but the record is very listenable.
The cover has the light blue background. Half of the guitar is orange, and the other half is light blue. In the title, "CASH" & "HOT" are orange and "BLUE" is blue.
The cover is in very good (VG) condition. It will show well, but has some damage. It has some light staining, mostly on the back. The top seam has a 3" split, the bottom has a 1" split and the back seam is completely split, but the splits are not really visible from the front and back. The original paper sleeve is intact.
Catalog number 1220 is shown on the labels, LP 1220 on front cover, and LP-1220 on back cover.
Etched runout numbers are:
Side 1: SU-119 delta symbol 248
Side 2: SU 120 delta symbol 249
Based on the label layout, I believe this is pressing B1, (the third pressing).
