LP is in Near Mint condition.
The thick lustrous vinyl is nearly flawless, without scuffs,or scratches of any kind.There a few small but inaudible sleeve marks.
The fidelity is superb,with no distortion, pops, clicks,or background noise of any kind.


Jacket is in EX+ condition. Original 1st art (framed) no-inc jacket is in nice condtion There are virtually no marks, or writing of any kind.There is light shelf wear, as in image.This lp is stored in the original inner sleeve. Although this Lp helped introduce Johnny Griffin to the jazz world, the tenor-saxophonist, who was a week shy of his 28th birthday, already had an extensive history. He picked up important experience playing with the bands of Lionel Hampton and Joe Morris, during 1945-50, a period when he was known as "Little Johnny Griffin" due to his size although calling him "The Litle Giant" was more accurate. He worked with Thelonious Monk and Bud Powell, served in the Army and then spent a few years developing his skills in Chicago, leading an album for the Argo label. When he made his Blue Note debut, Griffin was becoming known as the "world's fastest saxophonist" due to his brilliant technique, very appealing sound and ability to play speedy lines that sound both remarkable and effortless. On this classic album, his solos are often blistering yet always logical. Griffin tears into the uptempo pieces yet is also quite lyrical on the ballads, showing that he was ready to be recognized as one of the giants in his field.
