From a well cared for collection the LP is unmarked and my highest grade of near mint.
The Sleeve has no rips, writing or splits and is also near mint. Still has most of shrinkwrap on. No rips, writing or splits.
Recorded in 1975 this superb issue is probably a 1987 issue as it’s in such good condition.
Zootuk says: Johnny “Hammond” Smith and Gears became a go-to LP for hip-hop samplers everywhere. This first album with Milestone Records, the jazz-funk opus Gears garnered critical acclaim upon its release and was a Top 40 hit on Billboard’s Jazz chart. Jazz heavyweights here include Hadley Caliman (tenor), Julian Priester (‘bone), Chuck Rainet (bass)…‘Gears’ has only grown in its cult status, being sampled by the likes of Erykah Badu and Kendrick Lamar.
