Of all the bizarre resurrections to come into contact with this Easter, that of Johnny Moped takes some beating. Formed over 40 years ago somewhere in the wasteland between the glory days of pub rock and the explosion of punk, these snot-nosed tykes made Motorhead sound sophisticated and Screaming Lord Sutch reserved, and by some miracle of science their boorish assault has been diluted not one jot by the passing of decades. Ballsy, aggro-laden and brimming with cheery joie-de-vivre, 'It's A Real Cool Baby' is a welcome return for these perennial misfits, for diehard veterans and everyday lovers of greasy rock 'n' roll alike.
