Thunders was able to pull his shit together for one entire 40-minute album before crawling into the gutter for another 11 years before his inevitable, sad death.  This is better than either New York Dolls album - just like how Keith Richards' solo albums were easily better than the concurrent Stones releases.  "You Can't Put Your Arms 'Round a Memory" is Johnny's reason for existence, his theme song, but it fights off a strong set of contenders for "best" here: check out the perfectly sloppy cover of "Pipeline"; "Great Big Kiss", which just drips attitude; "London Boys", in which the Sex Pistols are called out damn near by name; or "Daddy Rollin' Stone", with its guest vocals from Phil Lynott and Steve Marriott.
