Up for auction is a beautiful original pressing of the self-titled Johnny Winter album, originally released in the U.S. on Columbia Records (CS 9826) in 1969:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT reissue -Original red "two-eye" Columbia labels -Early 1C/1C stampers -Original paste-down cover -Still in opened factory shrink wrap -Heavy inflexible vinyl record
-No UPC/bar code on cover -Original and date correct Columbia inner sleeve -Vinyl comes in audiophile protective inner sleeve
Note: This is hands-down the nicest copy of this classic album I've come across in 40 years of collecting. Looks just as it did when released in 1969. Very hard to find in this condition!
Condition: Cover is beautiful. These black covers were very prone to wear, and unless it's still in the original shrink like this one, it's going to show significant wear. No signs of wear except for one corner rub where the shrink has a small tear. The shrink is beautiful, shiny and clean, no ring wear or aging. Intact, only one small corner tear (see photo). Top copy. Hard to upgrade. Keeper.

Vinyl is also beautiful, still retains its original glossy shine. No scratches or scuffs, just some faint signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a couple times. No marks around spindle holes. Looks like this record has been played only once, if that, and handled with care. Super clean! Grade: Near Mint (NM)

I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
