The opening track "Smashed Blocked" is three minutes of crazy swirling organ and great guitar and vocals, and is probably the best song on the album, although the frenetic vocals at the beginning of the album take away from it's overall excellence. "Jagged Time Lapse," "Cold on Me" and "But She's Mine" are also great tracks with Jeff Beck playing guitar on the last track. A major problem I had was their manager Simon Napier-Bell's decision to include fake screams throughout the whole album taken from the Beatles Help album. "Strange Affair," a A-side to one of their first singles is presented here and the rest of the songs are mostly bluesy British psych complete with Marc Bolan's excellent guitar playing and angsty lyrics.
