Quarky Pittsburgh DJ
"MAD MIKE" METROVICH
passed away on his favorite holiday,
HALLOWEEN,
OCTOBER 31, 2000.

This record being offered on auction
is one of his hardest to find sounds.

It was unknown for years until the internet
made locating obscure vinyl easier.

It's very likely that this copy belonged
to Mike since it has his signature touch...
labels removed or obliterated to make identification
impossible for competing DJs.

By 1966 labels were sending Mike their releases
in hopes that he could create
a buzz that would generate sales.

It worked great for
THE SONICS !!

All that remains from the ripped-off labels
are some red strips...same color as
the original labels.

It's very possible that this acetate
came from the original label since there'd be
no reason to tear labels if this acetate
was cut in Pittsburgh.

Please allow extra time for sound clip
to load.

This disc comes with a generic red sleeve.
