Up for auction is a Lot of 2 rare original Jonathan Richman albums:

Rock 'N' Roll With The Modern Lovers, Beserkley (BZ-0053), 1977
-Guaranteed original First U.S. Pressing
-1-G/1-G etched in run-out matrix
-Original yellow Beserkley inner sleeve
-Original and correct black & yellow labels
-No UPC/bar code on cover
 
Condition:
The cover is still in nice condition with moderate signs of age and wear.  Front is still attractive and colorful, but show some general rubbing and light creases.  Seams are strong, no splits, just they show light rubbing and chipping.  Corners are rubbed.  Still and attractive, collectible example.  Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+), better than typical VG copies.

The vinyl is also in very nice condition, still retains its original shine.  No obvious or serious scratches or scuffs, just some very light and faint hairlines here and there--nothing that affects the quality of the playback.  Play-tested, the record sounds very nice, just a hint of typical surface noise on the run-in grooves which fades out once the music kicks in.  Overall, a very nice listening copy.  Not audiophile clean, but none of these original '70s pressings, even NM copies, were.  Grade: Excellent (EX).

Condition:
The cover is in pretty nice condition, showing moderate wear and age.  Ring wear on front and back.  Blacked-out sticker front upper right.  Seams are intact, no splits, just some light rubbing.  Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).

The vinyl is in very nice condition, still retains its original glossy shine.  No scratches or scuffs.  Labels are clean, unmarked.  A couple very faint superficial hairlines, nothing serious that affect playback quality, which is excellent.  Grade: Excellent (EX).
